Fans might as well chant ‘Aye Aye Captain!’, as a container ship has been christened G-Dragon. According to allkpop, the impressive vessel in question was constructed in China and stretches 172 meters in length and carries a substantial gross tonnage of 18,680 metric tons.

Presently cruising through Southeast Asian waters, its voyage extends from Vietnam to the Philippines.Although the owner’s identity remains undisclosed, one thing is evident: a profound admiration for the K-Pop icon is reflected in the name of this multimillion-dollar ship. Fans expressed surprise and amazement on social media as pictures of the container hit the internet. While fans rejoice over this unique tribute, they are also eagerly anticipating G-Dragon’s musical comeback, longing for new tracks from the influential artist.
Last year, G-Dragon had launched an anti-drug foundation that will focus on ‘activities for drug eradication and the treatment of addicted youth’. The charity was named JUSPEACE, as a combination of the words “justice” and “peace.” The k-pop icon made a donation worth ₩300 million KRW (about $231,000 USD).
